This cherub and skull tombstone can be found in the cemetery of a convent on Frauen Insel, Germany. The combination of the birth and death symbolism caught my attention. As the sun danced behind dark clouds I almost thought the stone cherub was winking at me. I was inspired to fight the December wind that was whipping through this gothic cemetery to capture this once in a lifetime moment.

Each print measures 8" by 10" and is ready for framing.
